In one of the quickest celebrity real estate transactions since Julia Roberts’ San Francisco Edwardian sold in just 18 days last November, Emma Stone’s Westwood, California pied-à-terre has found a buyer in under two weeks, according to the Wall Street Journal. The actor, who received a Golden Globe for her starring role in Poor Things earlier this month—and was yesterday nominated for an Academy Award—initially asked $3.995 million for her last known slice of Los Angeles real estate. The contract price was undisclosed.
The 1920s Spanish Colonial estate spans roughly 3,300 square feet and hosts four bedrooms and four bathrooms. After scooping up the property in 2019 for $2.3 million, the Cruella star added onto the home to expand the kitchen, which boasts all-white cabinetry and a midcentury-style turquoise range. The Oscar winner also added a guest house, complete with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Some of the property’s original charm survived the renovations, including a terra-cotta tiled courtyard and beamed ceilings.
Inside the main house, a wood-burning fireplace graces the living room, which also features patterned grass green wallpaper on the beamed ceiling and pops of hot pink decor throughout. The color scheme carries over into the adjacent formal dining room, with ornate dark wood dining chairs upholstered with the same cheerful grassy hue.
Other highlights include a spacious balcony overlooking the backyard lawn; a breakfast table at the center of the kitchen; and a chic primary bathroom lined with dainty patterned wallpaper in a more tranquil shade of green than the one found downstairs. The bathroom comes with dual vanities, a clawfoot tub lit by a sculptural scalloped light fixture, and a glass-walled shower.
Listing agent Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty told the WSJ that the Westwood property received multiple offers, with over 100 people attending the first weekend’s open house. “To be honest, people were just really enthralled with the property,” he told the publication. Lavey added that part of the wealth of interest came from the neighborhood’s highly-coveted status and the fact that homes there rarely surface for sale.

In 2021, Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, along with their then-newborn daughter moved into a traditional brick-sided home in Austin, Texas, and made it their primary residence. The following year, the Curse actor sold her midcentury Malibu abode for $4.4 million. She still maintains an apartment in Manhattan’s Financial District, which she bought in 2018 for $3.56 million.
