Ordering Process
Price: How much does it cost? Are there payment plans available?
The Kenmare Chair is priced at $1,775; through Affirm you can pay $111 a month.
What are the upholstery or customization options? Did you choose any?
The chair comes in a variety of fabric options, as customization is central to the brand’s mission. The options are: merino, performance melange weave, performance linen, performance velvet, performance textured linen, performance chevron, performance tweed, performance chenille, performance basketweave, performance boucle, pebbled leather, tuscan leather, mohair, nubuck leather, and shearling. All these options are offered in a variety of colorways. The wood frame is offered in Natural Ash, Driftwood, Pecan, Coffee, Charcoal, Whitewash, and Greywash. I tested the performance textured tweed in Dove with the Whitewash wood finish. Complimentary swatches are available.
What is the lead time for customization, manufacturing, and delivery?
This varies depending on your location, but the chair is typically produced and delivered within two to four weeks of the order date.

What are the dimensions? How does it fit in your space? Would it be better suited for a different type of home?
The Kenmare Chair is 27"W x 27"D x 28"H. It’s a low chair that is suitable for a living room—perhaps as an accent chair around your coffee table. It’s almost like an upholstered stool with back support…like if a stool and a sofa chair had a chic baby.
Sit Test: Is it comfortable? Does it feel well-made? Does the chair have a tendency to sag?
The chair is relatively comfortable, but I don’t foresee myself sitting in it for extended periods of time, as the back is rather low and stiff. I wouldn’t read or lounge or do work in it, as it’s more suitable for hosting guests or sitting and chatting for a brief period of time. It does feel very well-made; the chair is structured and supportive, so it retains its shape well.
Is the chair suitable for particular decor styles and if so, which?
The chair would go well in a minimalist space like a loft apartment with a lot of room to breathe. I think it would fit best within a neutral color palette surrounded by light wooden finishes, long windows, shelves filled with ceramics, and houseplants in every corner.
Is it durable and practical in a modern home?
It would certainly be durable as it’s well-made and light enough to move around. However, it would need to be in a home with enough space for a decorative chair that would mostly be used when hosting guests or for aesthetic purposes.
Is the chair kid and/or dog friendly?
The performance tweed was made to repel liquids, so it would hopefully be easy to clean. However, if stained, it can only be spot cleaned, so I don’t think it would make sense for a busier home with higher risk of damage.
What are the care and cleaning instructions? Do you think stains could be easily removed?
For the textured tweed upholstery, stains could probably be spot cleaned fairly easily, especially as the fabric is designed to prevent staining. However, it is a lighter color, so it would probably be a hassle to worry about cleaning!
Do the photos do this product justice? Was there anything you were surprised to see IRL?
Yes, I definitely think the photos are accurate!
